John Chermesino

Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, John is a seasoned bassist and vocalist with more than three decades of experience performing throughout the Sacramento region. He has played with a wide variety of acts, including Gringo Loco, The Cast Musical Band, Code Blue, Walkin’ The Dawg, and the twelve-piece power horn band On Air.

John’s versatility covers a broad spectrum of styles, from classic rock in both small and large ensemble formats to Tex-Mex and Southern rock. As a member of Chicago The Tribute, he contributes bass, lead vocals, and harmonies that honor the unmistakable sound of Chicago while adding a subtle personal touch. His musical perspective is deeply influenced by Miles Davis and the legendary trumpeter’s continual artistic evolution over seven distinct musical eras.
